Welcome to the joi DAO!
The joi DAO is open to anyone who believes in the potential of the joi ecosystem. By actively participating in governance, you can help shape the future of the project and contribute to its long-term success.
The joi DAO empowers the community to actively shape the future of the joi ecosystem through a transparent and democratic governance process. We leverage Tally, a leading platform specifically designed for on-chain Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).
Tally: The Backbone of joi Governance
Tally provides a user-friendly interface for interacting with the joi DAO. It grants our community members real power to:
Delegate Voting Rights: Community members can delegate their voting rights to trusted individuals (delegates) who share their vision for the project's future.
Propose and Vote on Initiatives: Anyone can create or vote on proposals that govern how $joi tokens are spent, how the joi protocol is managed, and how smart contracts are upgraded. All votes and decisions are recorded directly on the blockchain, ensuring immutability and transparency.
Benefits of On-Chain Governance
joi prioritises on-chain governance for several reasons:
Security and Transparency: Decisions are recorded directly on the blockchain, eliminating the risk of manipulation and ensuring a verifiable record of all votes.
Decentralisation: There's no single point of control. Every community member has a voice and the power to influence the project's direction.
Efficiency: Tally streamlines the proposal creation and voting process, fostering active participation from the community.
Who is Involved?
The joi DAO ecosystem consists of three key roles:
Operators: These individuals manage the day-to-day operations of the DAO using Tally. They build the DAO's homepage, manage proposals, and ensure smooth governance processes.
Voters: Community members can participate in voting on proposals using Tally's user-friendly interface. They can also create unique profiles to showcase their involvement within the DAO.
Delegates: Community members can choose to delegate their voting rights to trusted delegates who align with their vision for the project. Delegates can leverage Tally to build profiles, garner support, and actively participate in shaping the future of joi.
